The European Commission launched eYouGuide:

a new website with practical information
about consumers’ “digital rights”

It has just been launched a new european online tool informing consumers on their rights while surfing the web, from the shopping online to the music and video downloading, as well as from the EU rules on privacy to on line payments.

The website aims at increasing consumers’ trust in the digital market in order to fully benefit from its potentialities, in terms of quality, choice, convenience and safety of the countless products and services offered.

The new online guide provides clear and helpful information, by answering to some “frequent asked questions” for each topic and giving consumers useful instruction on how to lodge a complaint.

Surfing the website, consumers are linked to EU regulations currently in force, to in-depth explanations, to national telecoms regulators and also to those EU Networks which assist consumers in any problem they might face.
