 Hiring a car

As EU citizen you can hire both a car and a motorbike presenting a valid driving licence issued by your country. In most EU countries the minimum age for driving a car is 18. A minimum age limit for hiring a car has not been fixed. It may vary between 20 and 23. It might also exist a maximum age limit varying between 65 and 75.

Car hire companies generally ask for a valid credit card as bailment. Indeed in case of accidents or the car is damaged whilst in your care,  they will charge to your credit car the amount equivalent to the damages.

When you receive the car and when you return it, check the vehicle and let the company give you a written condition report. Company can’t put in your contract any unfair clauses like those ones ruling out the company’s liabilities in case of accidents due to any defects in the vehicle.
