Travel - Which are the compulsory documents for going abroad?
According to The Schengen Agreement border controls are not applied anymore.
Therefore, you don’t need a visa while travelling or living in a EU Member
State.
- Which Countries have joined to the Schengen Agreement?
The Countries are: Austria, Belgium, Denmark, Finland, France, Germany, Greece,
Italy, Luxemburg, the Netherlands, Portugal, Spain, Sweden (excluding Ireland
and United Kingdom) Iceland Norway and Switzerland (which are not EU Countries).
Also Cyprus, the Czech Republic, Estonia, Hungary, Latvia, Lithuania, Malta,
Poland, Slovakia and Slovenia are partially bound by the Schengen Agreement.
However, the border controls are maintained until the EU Council decides that
the conditions for abolishing have been met. - Is the Euro accepted in all Countries?
Currently, these Countries have introduced the euro as their legal currency :
Belgium, Germany, Greece, Spain, France, Ireland, Italy, Cyprus, Luxembourg,
Malta, the Netherlands, Austria, Portugal, Slovenia, Slovakia and Finland. - In case of need, should I deserve medical assistance in a Member State different from the one I belong to?
EU citizens abroad can benefit from medical treatment either for free or at low
prices. You should bring with your European Health Insurance Card (called EHIC)
which allows you both to benefit from medical assistance all over the EU and to
be reimbursed quickly. - While travelling, can I bring with me my pets?
Of course you can! You only have to obtain in time pets’ passport, including
information about valid anti-rabies vaccination.
