Products - What should I do if I bought a defective product?
In this case you are entitled to have your product repaired or replaced, or
even, if these remedies are impossible, to have the money back. - How long does a product warranty last? For all products, the warranty last 2 years from the date when the product has been purchased.
According to Directive EC 1999/44 the seller is obliged to provide consumer with
a free assistance for a period of 24 month since the date of purchase.
Therefore, it’s appropriate to contact directly the shop where the good has been
bought, asking for the player reparation or replacement. Additionally to this
legal warranty, which cant’ be limited in any case, consumer can also benefit
from a commercial warranty offered by the supplier, with a changeable length.
According to the Directive EC 1999/44, the seller must provide consumer with a
product in conformity to what established in the related contract. In
particular, a product isn’t in conforming either if it doesn’t match the
seller’s description or if it doesn’t have the same characteristics as the
sample showed.
