- What should I do in case of overbooking at hotel?

In this case, the hotel manager is obliged to provide you with an alternative accommodation in a hotel which belongs to the same category than the original one.
 

- If, after entering the alternative hotel, I notice that it isn’t the same category than the original one am I entitled to recede and cancel my booking? 

In this case, you can surrender your accommodation and ask for a compensation, which is equal twice the deposit paid.
 

- Is the hotel manager liable for any potential theft?

Of course he is! Any possible sign excluding manager’s liability doesn’t have a legal valiance.
