I received a letter from a foreign lottery informing me that I won a prize of 60.000 €… but I’ve never bought a ticket. Is it true?

Please always pay attention to these types of winning. Indeed, according to the Directive EC 2005/29 of the European Parliament and of Council of 11 may 2005, this way of acting is considered a unfair commercial practice, because consumer is given the misleading belief that he has already won a sum, while actually it isn’t so. On the contrary, in all probability, these actions force consumers to firstly buy a product in order to gain a winning that will never arrive. Therefore, if you had never taken part in a foreign lottery, it’s impossible for you to have won!
