What are passengers’ rights when they have presented themselves for boarding in time but, due to a long queue for both the check-in and the security control, they might reach their gate when the boarding is already finished? According to the rule, passengers must present themselves to the check-in desk within the time showed in the general conditions of transport attached to the flight ticket. In rush periods, it would be useful to get to the Airport half an hour in advance. Nevertheless, the air company is authorized to attend passengers within the scheduled time for the check-in, doing neatly all the necessary activities for the boarding. If it isn’t so, you can talk directly to a manager, demanding to be attended in time: since then, the air company will be liable for any possible problem. Concerning security control, there’s no way to avoid them. However, you can ask for help to the ground stuff, in order either to be controlled quickly and to have your gate waiting for you.
