Shipping costs
Normally shipping costs are charged to consumers, apart from the case of special
orders.
Shipping costs might be fixed in advance as flat rate, but
sometimes they depend on the place of the delivery and the type of the product
(e.g. in the case of breakable or very expensive goods the shipping costs will
be higher).
Furthermore, when a product comes from an extra EU Country,
the shipment is subjected to the payment of customs duties, according to product
weight and value, and the VAT must be paid at duty offices in the State where
the trader is located.
Concerning goods within the EU, no duties are due, while the
VAT must be paid in the State where the product is addressed.
Please remember that when the shipment is in charge of
national carries, custom taxes will be firstly paid by those carriers and then,
at product delivery, debited to consumer, except for different trader’s will.
