Services providers

There is no need of a preventive authorization in order to access to, and exercise, a service activity.

Indeed, the provider can carry out his activity wherever in the EU, only by complying with his home Country’s rules.

The Italian Decree n. 70/2003 set up a list of compulsory information: the number and email address of the trader, the business name of the Society he belongs to, a valid address or the registered office, the registration number on the business register and also the details of the Authority supposed to control trader’s activity in the case that this activity is subjected to authorization or license.

On the contrary, concerning regulated professions, it must be specified: the appropriate professional roll together whit the related registration number, the professional qualifications of the provider and the Member State where these qualifications have been issued, a recall to national rules and valid Codes of Conduct in force within the Member State where the provider is established, the VAT number (or an equivalent identification number), a list of prices and fees applied (including levies, shipping costs and other surtax), the activities to which the consumers are entitled and, finally, the contract details if the service is provided on the basis of an authorization or a license of use.

The provider must constantly update the information above.
